National Highway Authority of India said on Monday that this decision has been taken to promote better experience of Fastag under the campaign of One Vehicle One FASTag.
He said that those Fastags whose KYC is not completed by January 31 will be blacklisted or deactivated. To promote single Fastag, NHAI said that the accounts of those having more than one Fastag on the same vehicle will be blacklisted. KYC of Fastag has been made mandatory till 31 January. Whose deadline has been kept as 31 January 2024. Fastag being inactive means double the burden on the pocket. If you pay toll tax in cash, you will have to pay double the tax.
KYC is necessary
Is the KYC of your Fastag complete? If not then get it completed without any delay. Not doing this will increase the burden on your pocket. If you do not complete the KYC of your Fastag, your Fastag will become inactive. Not only this, you will also have to pay double toll tax. NHAI has instructed all Fastag holders to complete KYC. NHAI has also set the deadline to implement the One Vehicle One Fastag scheme by January 31. If this is not done, Fastag will be deactivated or blacklisted.
