Israel-Hamas War: Amidst the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, Air India has taken a big decision. Aviation company Air India has canceled all flights to Tel Aviv till October 18. Air India official told news agency PTI that it will operate chartered flights to bring back Indian citizens depending on the carrier requirements.

Earlier, Air India had suspended flights operating from Israel’s economic hub Tel Aviv till October 14. It is noteworthy that generally Air India operates five flights a week from the national capital New Delhi to Tel Aviv. This service runs on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The airline has also operated two flights under Operation Ajay, started to bring back Indian citizens from Israel.

235 Indians reached Delhi by special plane.

Under Operation Ajay, more than 400 Indians have so far returned to their country from Israel. On Friday, a special plane carrying 235 Indian citizens reached Delhi. During this, Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh welcomed him at the airport.

A day before this, 212 Indians were brought to India through a special plane. India had announced Operation Ajay on Thursday (12 October). Through this operation, only those people are being brought from Israel, who are willing to come to India from there.
