His Dearness Allowance (DA) has increased by 4 percent. Now it has increased from 34 percent to 38 percent.
Approved increase in dearness allowance in September
According to Jaya Kumar G, Deputy Director (Pay Commission-VII & HRMS) in Railway Board, the Union Cabinet had approved the increase in dearness allowance in September. After that it was sent to the President for approval. This increase in dearness allowance of central employees is from January 1 to June 30, 2022. During this, there has been a jump of 4 percent in dearness allowance.
Increased dearness allowance starts from July 1
According to the deputy director, the increased dearness allowance to central employees has started from July 1. Talking about the increase in salary, then there will be a difference of Rs 720 to Rs 10,000 per month. The government will also give dues with the increased salary. The increase in dearness allowance will be applicable on the basic pay.
Basic Pay is decided on the basis of Pay Matrix
According to the Deputy Director, under the 7th pay commission, the basic pay is fixed on the basis of Pay Matrix. It was implemented by the government. There is no special pay involved in this. According to the Indian Railway Establishment Code, DA cannot be taken as pay.
