According to the information received from HDFC Bank, the facility of external NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer) transactions will not be available on April 1, 2024. Actually, the financial year 2023-24 is ending on 31st March. Due to the proceedings related to the end of the financial year, there may be a delay in NEFT transfer on April 1.

There will be problem in transaction with HDFC Bank on 1st April

If you have a bank account in HDFC Bank, the largest private sector bank, then you may face some problems in transactions on April 1. Due to the first day of the new financial year, the NEFT service of the bank will remain closed or it may face problems. The bank has said that due to the processes related to the end of the financial year, there may be interruption in NEFT transaction service.

There will be problem in salary and transactions on 1st April

If you get your salary in HDFC then you may face problems on 1st April. There may be difficulty in sending money through NEFT. Although NEFT facility will be available for some selected customers of the bank, there may be delays or problems in this too. Not only this, if your salary comes in HDFC then it may also get delayed.

If you receive salary or other payments through NEFT transfer on April 1, there may be a delay in that too. In such a situation, the bank has advised customers to transact money through IMPS, RTGS and UPI instead of NEFT. If you need any help or have any problem regarding this, you can contact the customer support team of the bank on 1800 1600/1800 2600.

Banks closed on 1st April.
The new financial year is starting from 1st April. Not all banks will be open on the first day of the financial year. According to the guidelines of RBI, banks have been kept closed in many states due to closing of annual accounts. According to the notification of RBI, banks will remain closed in all the states of the country except Mizoram, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. There will be no facility to go to RBI office to exchange Rs 2000 notes on April 1.
