The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of heavy rains for many parts of the country for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, from August 30 to September 4, there will be continuous rain in different states and extremely heavy rains can also be seen at some places.
Konkan, Maharashtra, Gujarat and South India
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains will occur in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat region, Kerala and coastal Karnataka till August 30. Rains are expected to continue in Gujarat and Maharashtra for the next 7 days. Heavy rains may also occur in Marathwada on August 30.
North India and Himalayan states
Heavy rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh on August 30 and 31. At the same time, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in different areas of Uttarakhand from August 30 to September 2. Heavy rains are also expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh between August 30 and September 2.
Rajasthan and UP
The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rains in eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand for the next 7 days. Heavy rains may occur in western Rajasthan on 31 August and 1 September. There is an alert of heavy rains in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 1 and 2 September.
Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern India
Heavy rain is expected in Bihar on August 30. Heavy rain is expected in Jharkhand on August 30 and September 2. Heavy rain is expected in Odisha and Chhattisgarh from August 31 to September 3.
Northeast India
The rain will continue in the northeastern states for the next few days. Heavy rains may occur in Arunachal Pradesh on August 30 and September 4. Heavy rains are expected at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from August 30 to September 4. Also, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning during this period.
