The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar was June 30, 2023. After this deadline is over, those who have not linked their PAN and Aadhaar, their PAN has now become inactive. However, it is not that PAN cannot be deactivated now.

How to reactivate pan card
- To link PAN and Aadhaar, first log in to your account on the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department
- After logging in, click on the option to link PAN with Aadhaar.
- After clicking on this link you will be asked for personal information. You have to fill it. After filling all the columns, the fine amount of Rs 1000 has to be filled.
- You can easily pay the penalty amount through e-pay tax. After this, its information will have to be given to the Income Tax Department.
Will have to wait for 1 month after paying the fine
It is not that you pay the fine and after that your PAN will be activated. It will take one month for the PAN to become active again. You will have to inform the concerned department after paying the fine. On the information given by you, the department will reactivate your PAN after 1 month.
Let’s say you paid the fine on 2nd July. After that request for activation of PAN again then your PAN will be activated on 1st August. Experts say that this fine payment will be in the form of other payments. So make sure that the correct option is selected while making the fine payment.
