IMD Rainfall Alert, 5 Days Rain: After Cyclone Biparjoy hit the Gujarat coast on Thursday evening, its landfall continued till midnight. During this, there was heavy rain in Gujarat and its neighboring state Rajasthan.

Biperjoy is very likely to weaken into a deep depression by Friday evening. On one hand, where Biparjoy wreaked havoc in Gujarat, on the other hand, warnings of heavy rain have been issued in many states. There is an alert of heavy to very heavy rain in the states of Northeast for the next five days. Apart from this, an alert of heavy rain has also been issued in western UP.

Releasing the forecast, the Meteorological Department has said that heatwave will continue in the states of Eastern India and Central India for the next four days due to severe heat. Relief is expected only after four days. Due to Cyclone Biperjoy, heavy rains are lashing Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat, while rains will continue in North Gujarat and South Rajasthan today and tomorrow as well.

According to IMD, Northeast India and Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim will receive light to moderate rains for the next five days. Very heavy rain alert has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya from June 16 to 18. Talking about the states of North West, it is going to rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next five days. Apart from this, there will be hailstorm in Uttarakhand on June 18 and 19. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Southwest Rajasthan on June 16-17 and in Southeast Rajasthan on June 17 and 18.

It will rain in many areas of Southeast Rajasthan on June 20 as well. Apart from this, heavy rain warning has been issued in Uttarakhand on June 18 and 19, Northwest Madhya Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh on June 19 and 20. Talking about the states of South India, light to moderate rains are going to occur in Kerala, Tamil Nadu on June 18-20, South Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema on June 19 and 20. In the southern states, an alert of heavy rain has been issued for the next five days.
