Aadhaar Card and PAN Card Link: The Income Tax Department has once again issued a warning to all PAN card holders. The I-T Department has said that if you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar card, then from April 1, 2023, your Aadhaar card will become inoperative.
In such a situation, you will not be able to do any work related to PAN card. The Income Tax Department has fixed March 31, 2023 as the last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card.
Your pan card will become a piece of plastic from April 1
Let us inform that the Income Tax Department through its website as well as all social media accounts is repeatedly reminding people to link PAN card and Aadhaar card. If you have not yet linked your PAN card with Aadhaar card, then you have time till March 31, 2023. If you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar card, then after March 31 i.e. from April 1, your PAN card will become just a piece of plastic and it will be of no use.
As per Income-tax Act, 1961, it is mandatory for all PAN holders, who do not fall under the exempt category, to link their PAN with Aadhaar before 31.3.2023.

1000 rupees will have to be given to link pan card and Aadhaar card
According to the circular of the Income Tax Department, if you have not yet linked your Aadhaar card with PAN card and now you link your Aadhaar card with PAN card, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000. Not only this, if you do not link your Aadhaar and PAN by March 31, 2023, then your PAN card will become inactive.
PAN-Aadhaar was being linked for free till March 31, 2022
Let us tell that the last date for linking PAN card and Aadhaar card was fixed as March 31, 2022. A fee of Rs 500 was fixed for linking PAN and Aadhaar after March 31, 2022 and before June 30, 2022. Not only this, after June 30, 2022, the fee for linking PAN and Aadhaar was increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000.
