India vs Australia T20I Series: Hardik Pandya will not be able to play any match

The 5 match T20 series between India and Australia is starting tomorrow i.e. from 23rd November. This series is important for the preparation of the T20 World Cup to be held in June 2024.

Before the T20 World Cup, Team India has to play only 11 T20 International matches. Hardik Pandya was injured during the World Cup 2023. It is very difficult for him to play before IPL 2024. In such a situation, T20 league will also become important for the preparation of the World Cup. Senior players have been given rest from the series against Australia. The T20 World Cup 2024 is to be played jointly between West Indies and America. Before the World Cup, the Indian team has to play a series of 5 T20 matches against Australia, 3 against South Africa and 3 T20 against Afghanistan. Who gets a chance as an opener?

Talking about the series against Australia, apart from Ishan Kishan, Rituraj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal have got a place in the team as openers.
