Indian Railways Satvik Food Service: During the long journey in the train, there is often a problem of food and drink in front of the passengers. This is the reason many times people are seen carrying home cooked food.

But what about those who could not make it due to any reason? Yes, a new arrangement has been started by the Railways for those who eat pure vegetarian food. If you have a similar problem with you too, then this news will definitely make you happy. After the new order of the Ministry of Railways, now the passengers will be able to get completely satvik food during the journey.

Satvik food will reach the passenger’s seat IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has joined hands with ISKCON to provide satvik food to the passengers during the journey. Under this, the passengers who eat satvik food will be delivered to their seats after ordering food from the restaurant Govinda Restorent of ISKCON temple. Under this agreement between IRCTC and ISKCON, this service is currently available at Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi.

Passengers will not face any problem

On the occasion of starting this facility, it was told by the Railway Board that some passengers (who eat satvik food) doubt the purity of the food served in the train. This has often been seen with travelers going on long journeys. There are many travelers who do not even eat onion and garlic. Those passengers avoid the food available from the pantry car. But after the introduction of this facility, such passengers will not face any problem.

Take advantage of this service like this

If you or your family want to take sattvic food during the train journey, then you will have to book food on IRCTC’s e-catering website or Food on Track app. For this, you have to order with PNR number at least two hours before the departure of the train. After the order is finalised, the food will reach your seat. In the food provided by Govinda restaurant, passengers will get Veg Biryani of Old Delhi, Deluxe Thali, Maharaja Thali, Dal Makhani, paneer dishes, noodles and other sattvic food.
