IPL has been halted

A BCCI official told PTI that it does not look good that cricket is going on when there is a war going on in the country. He confirmed the postponement of the league, which was scheduled to conclude in Kolkata on May 25. Now the BCCI will face a big challenge to make a new schedule for the remaining matches and send the foreign players who are in India to their homes. Cricket Australia (CA) is keeping a close eye on the growing tension between India and Pakistan, as more than 20 Australian players and coaches are playing in the ongoing Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League.

There was a cloud of uncertainty over IPL 2025 after Thursday’s match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was called off midway following air raid warnings in Jammu and Pathankot. A blackout was imposed in several districts including Punjab’s Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and the Union Territory of Chandigarh on Thursday amid reports of air raid warnings and sounds resembling explosions in Jammu.

Now PSL will be played in UAE

After the tension between India and Pakistan increased, the Indian Premier League has been postponed indefinitely. Whereas, a day earlier, the Pakistan Super League was shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is worth noting that 15 days after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, India carried out missile attacks on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed. Since then, there has been a fierce battle between the two countries.
