Vigilance team will remain active in trains
IRCTC has written a letter to all GGMs regarding this. Along with giving instructions for immediate action, a detailed report has been sought by May 5. IRCTC warned that this habit of taking extra money from sellers of goods will have to be changed immediately. To prevent this, vigilance teams will be active in trains on 10 crowded routes. This team will put a stop to the arbitrariness done by the vendors. Along with this, action will also be taken on selling goods at a higher price than MPRP.
Supervisors will be posted in trains
Managers are posted on behalf of IRCTC in premium trains. Supervisors will now be posted in some other important trains. This is being considered by the Ministry of Railways. These steps have been taken in view of the fact that people do not face any kind of trouble while traveling during the holidays. Under the new change, rate cards will be placed on food boxes at an easily visible place.
Avoid overpricing by asking for the bill
Issuing suggestions for the passengers, it was said that overpricing can be avoided by asking for the bill. If there is any complaint related to quality and quantity then you can do it with the concerned authority. Due to increase in consumption of Rail Neer, 4 new plants are being set up by IRCTC. It will be allowed to sell water approved by the Railway Board in stations and trains.
