Railways provides its e-catering service to the customers through IRCTC. WhatsApp communication service has been started for passengers to order food through e-catering service. No need to download app

Initially, Railways has planned two phases to provide e-catering service through WhatsApp communication. In the first step, the business WhatsApp number will send a message to the customer booking the e-ticket to select the e-catering service by clicking on the link www.ecatering.irctc.co.in. Through this option, customers will be able to book food from restaurants available at stations through IRCTC’s e-catering website. You will not need to download IRCTC app to order food from WhatsApp.

In the second step of WhatsApp communication service, WhatsApp number will be able to become a two-way communication platform for the customer. In this, AI power chatbot will take all kinds of questions related to e-catering service of the passengers and will also book food for the passengers. At present, WhatsApp communication system has been implemented only in some selected trains. Later, based on the feedback received from the customers, the WhatsApp communication system will be implemented in other trains as well.
