Jio launches 5G service in Jammu and Srinagar, 304 cities included in the list, check name

Reliance Jio’s True 5G service will now be available to customers in Jammu and Srinagar as well. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched the Jio True 5G services at an event held at Raj Bhavan, Jammu.

Apart from two cities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, 25 other cities in 12 states have joined the Jio True 5G network. With the addition of a total of 27 new cities, Jio True 5G has reached 304 cities. Apart from Jammu and Srinagar, the number of other cities that will be connected by Jio True 5G include Ankapalle and Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Arrah, Begusarai, Bihar Sharif, Darbhanga and Purnea in Bihar, Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh, Vapi in Gujarat, Baddi-Barotiwala in Himachal Pradesh.

Nalagarh, Katras in Jharkhand, Kolar in Karnataka, Beed, Chakan, Dhule, Jalna and Malegaon in Maharashtra, Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, Bardhaman, Berhampur, English Bazar, Habra and Kharagpur in West Bengal .

The launch event showcased the immersive technology’s applications in healthcare, education and other key sectors. A glimpse of the AR-VR device Jio Glass was also seen. On this occasion, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that it gives me great pleasure to launch Jio True 5G services in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 5G will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Will further the government’s efforts to realize the Digital India vision of the government.

The focus of the Government’s Digital Jammu and Kashmir Mission is on start-up eco-system, e-governance, agriculture, social welfare, youth, education and health. On the launch, Jio spokesperson said that we are excited to launch Jio True 5G in Jammu and Srinagar. By December 2023, Jio True 5G will cover every city in Jammu and Kashmir. This is a testimony of Jio’s commitment to the Government’s priorities.

Jio has provided direct and indirect employment to more than 36,000 people in Jammu and Kashmir. This launch will prove to be an important milestone for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are grateful to the Government for their continued support in our efforts to digitize Jammu and Kashmir. From February 28, 2023, Jio users are being invited under the welcome offer in these 27 cities. Jio users will get 1 Gbps+ speed and unlimited data at no extra cost.
