Lok Sabha elections in Delhi : What is closed on 25 May?
According to the orders issued by the Election Commission of India, all liquor shops and other licensed premises in Delhi will remain closed from 6 pm on May 23 to 6 pm on May 25 for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The same is the case for Faridabad and Gurugram, cities near Delhi. Sale of liquor will not be allowed in the capital Delhi on June 4.

Banks and schools will remain closed
Schools and educational institutions in the national capital will also remain closed on polling day due to heatwave conditions in the city. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on May 25, the fourth Saturday of the month.

Essential services like hospitals, pharmacies and public transport will function normally on May 25. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced that metro train services on all routes will resume at 4 am on Saturday to help voters on polling day. The Delhi Transport Corporation announced that it will run additional bus services on 35 routes across Delhi from 4 am on May 25. Commercial establishments like shops, restaurants and malls will remain open on polling day in Delhi. The seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections will be held on June 1 and the results will be declared on June 4.
