The price of aviation fuel has increased across the country, while the price of commercial LPG cylinders has decreased. Domestic cylinder prices remain unchanged. Oil marketing companies review prices every month.

Today is the first of November. Meanwhile, there have been changes in the price of LPG cylinders. This time, due to the Bihar elections, the price of cylinders has decreased in many parts of the country. It should be noted that the price of 19 kg cooking gas (LPG) cylinders has been reduced.

The price of commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced after the increase in October, while there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinders. Commercial LPG cylinders have become cheaper by Rs 5 from today. Now it will be available for Rs 1,590.50.

In Mumbai, the price has been reduced by the same amount, bringing the price to ₹1,542. In Kolkata and Chennai, prices have been cut by ₹4.50, and from today, they cost ₹1,694 and ₹1,750, respectively. Earlier in October, commercial cooking gas cylinders in Delhi became more expensive by ₹15.50.

The price of domestic LPG cylinder has remained unchanged since April 08, 2025. Its price is Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

Oil marketing companies review the prices of cooking gas and aviation fuel every month based on changes in gas prices in the international market and the exchange rate of the rupee against the dollar, and new prices are generally implemented from the first of every month.

It should be noted that oil marketing companies have increased the prices of aviation fuel from Saturday. According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, the price of aviation fuel in Delhi has increased by Rs 777 (0.83 percent) to Rs 94,543.02 per kiloliter from today. Earlier, in October, its price was increased by more than three percent to Rs 93,766.02 per kiloliter.

Starting today, aviation fuel will cost 0.76 percent more in Kolkata, reaching ₹97,549.18 per kiloliter. In Mumbai, the price has been increased by 0.84 percent and in Chennai, by 0.81 percent, to ₹88,447.87 and ₹98,089.68 per kiloliter, respectively.

What is Indane Gas?
Indane is Indian Oil’s domestic LPG service, primarily available in 14.2 kg cylinders. Smaller 5 kg cylinders are also available in select cities and hilly or rural areas.

How to get a new LPG connection?
New LPG connections in India are now available “on demand,” meaning immediately. If you don’t have an LPG connection from any PSU oil company and have a separate kitchen, you can get a new Indane gas connection for your home.

Where to go?
You will need to visit the nearest Indane Gas distributor in your area. You can register for a connection there.

What documents will be required?

You will need to provide proof of identity and proof of address during registration. You can submit any of the following documents:

  • Ration Card
  • Electricity Bill
  • Telephone Bill
  • Passport
  • Employer’s Certificate
  • Flat Allotment/Possession Letter
  • House Registration Papers
  • LIC Policy
  • Voter ID Card
  • Rent Receipt
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • Aadhaar Card

What happens after registration?

After registration, the distributor will send you a registration notice by registered post. You must take this letter and the envelope to the same distributor.

After receiving the gas connection
Your Indane gas connection will be issued immediately. However, please note that you must have the following items before the connection is issued:

ISI-marked gas stove (Hotplate) — Certified according to IS:4246
Suraksha LPG Hose — According to IS:9573 (Type IV)
With both of these things in place, your cylinder can be installed at home immediately.

Special Features
The smaller 5 kg cylinder is specifically designed for rural and hilly areas, making it easy to use and transport.
The 14.2 kg cylinder is for general domestic use, and is provided in most homes.
