You must have seen in films that people are enjoying a drink while working in the office. This is not a big deal in an individual office, but in a workplace where many people work together, this is not possible and the reason is that doing so is a legal offense. However, now soon such scenes can be seen in India too that you go to the office canteen and order beer like tea, coffee or juice.

Will be able to offer such drinks

This is going to be possible soon in Haryana. For this, the state government of Haryana has changed the excise policy. Under the new policy, the state government has given permission to many offices to serve liquor. However, this exemption given by the state government is only for those drinks like beer or wine, which contain less alcohol.

They will get the benefit of new facility

According to the new policy of the state government, beer or wine can be consumed in the office premises where at least 5 thousand people work and the minimum covered area is 1 lakh square feet. Under the state’s new excise policy, companies will have to pay Rs 10 lakh annually for this. Offices with more than 5 thousand employees and more than 1 lakh square feet of covered area can take license for the whole year by paying it.

Wine and beer will also be cheaper

The new excise policy of Haryana government is going to be effective from next month i.e. June 2023. This means that from next month, big offices located in Haryana can give their employees the facility to drink beer in the canteen. Along with this, the state government has also reduced the excise duty on beer and wine. Means from next month the prices of beer and wine will be reduced in Haryana.

Bar license will be cheaper

The Cabinet of Haryana Government has approved the Excise Policy 2023-24 this week, which will come into force from June 12. After the implementation of the new policy, not only will beer-wine be cheaper, but it will also become cheaper to get bar license for restaurants, pubs and cafes. The government has reduced the license fee for them. Cities like Gurugram of Haryana are the centers of many big corporates. In such a situation, this policy may be liked by multinational corporates.
