For this, information will be automatically taken from government databases like birth certificate, matriculation certificate, driving license, passport, PAN card, ration card and MNREGA. This will not only make the process easier, but will also stop attempts to obtain Aadhaar through fake documents. Apart from this, talks are also being held to get information from the electricity bill database, so that citizens can get more convenience.

Now your Aadhaar card is going to be even smarter. Just like you make online payments from your mobile, Aadhaar information can now be shared through QR code. No need to provide photocopies anymore, no worries about standing in long queues. UIDAI’s new app will make many government tasks easier by bringing your Aadhaar to your mobile – like changing address, phone number or name. From children’s Aadhaar update to property registration, everything will now be digital and secure. This new system is also going to end the misuse of fake documents.

You will get complete control over your data

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said that this new app gives people complete control over their data. Aadhaar information can be sent from mobile to mobile or app to app through QR code, but only when the person himself allows it. This facility can be useful from hotel check-in to identity verification in the train. It can also be used at the time of property registration, which will prevent fraud. UIDAI is making the state governments aware that the identity of the person should be verified with Aadhaar at the time of property registration.

Special campaign for biometric update

UIDAI has also planned to launch a special campaign for children. The biometric information of children has to be updated between the ages of 5 to 7 and again between the ages of 15 to 17, but the information of crores of children has not been updated yet. UIDAI has started discussions with CBSE and other boards so that this work can be completed expeditiously. The first update of about 8 crore children and the second update of 10 crore are pending, which will be completed under a special campaign.

Apart from this, UIDAI is also working with institutions like security agencies, hotels, food delivery companies, cab services, CGHS and ESIC under the Social Welfare, Innovation and Knowledge – SWIK campaign. Aadhaar is not mandatory at these places, but if this facility is available, the presence of cab drivers, delivery boys or ESIC hospitals can also be verified with Aadhaar, so that a reliable and secure system can be created.
