PM Awas Yojana News: PM Awas Yojana (PM Awas Yojana) is being run by the Central Government. Under this, a target has been set to provide pucca houses to poor people by the year 2024.
Under this scheme, money is allotted to those people who have kutcha houses. In the budget of 2023, the central government had increased the amount for the PM Awas Yojana by 66 percent. There is a difference in the amount received for building a house in hilly and plain areas. Under the PM Awas Yojana, the government gives Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand to build houses in the plains.

Who will get benefit
Those people who do not have pucca houses, only those people can take advantage of the PM Awas Yojana. To take advantage of this scheme, one has to apply on the official website. After this the entire document is scrutinised. Along with this, inspection is also done by the government official. One can also apply for PM Awas Yojana with the help of Village Development Officer and Village Head.
You will not get the benefit of PM Awas Yojana if you have a bike or a car. Apart from this, if someone has a Kisan Credit Card of 50 thousand or more, then he cannot take advantage of this scheme.
How to check name in list
- Go to the PM Awas Yojana website pmayg.nic.in and click on the Menu section on the home page.
- After this select Search PMAYG Beneficiary.
- After this, after choosing Search By Name, a new page will open.
- On that new page, enter your Aadhaar number and click on Show button.
- After this the list of all the beneficiaries will come.
