Post Office News Charges: According to the circular, those who are not customers of the bank will have to pay Rs 20 plus GST on every transaction that happens after 1 transaction. These charges are effective from December 1, 2022.

If your account is in the bank in the post office, then this news is very important for you, because the rules for withdrawing money have been changed.

India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) has changed the transaction charges from Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS). According to a notification, these charges are effective from December 1, 2022.

Those who are not customers of IPPB, will have to pay charges for doing more than 1 transaction. This also includes withdrawing, depositing money or taking mini statement through Aadhaar.

According to the circular, customers will have to pay Rs 20 + GST charge for withdrawing and depositing money for transactions exceeding the free limit in a month. For mini statement, Rs 5 has to be paid per transaction.

NPCI states that AePS is quite easy and secure to use for availing benefits using Aadhaar number and biometrics. AePS works on the demographic and biometric/iris information of an individual, thus eliminating the dangers of fraud.
