Property Tax Rebate 2025: The Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government has provided a special exemption of 30 days for depositing property tax and statement for the financial year 2024-25 in urban bodies. Now these can be deposited till 30 April 2025.
The state government has issued a circular in this regard to all the collectors, commissioners of municipal corporations and chief municipal officers of municipalities and nagar panchayats.
Property Tax Rebate 2025 The Urban Administration Department has said in the circular that the last date fixed for depositing property tax and return in urban bodies is 31 March 2025. This year also the last date for depositing property tax and return is 31 March 2025. In the financial year 2024-25, the code of conduct was also effective in Lok Sabha election work, delimitation work of bodies, voter list revision work and elections of local bodies etc. Officers and employees of the bodies were also engaged in these works. As a result, the process of collection of revenue income has been affected.
In view of the impact on the work of revenue collection, the department has given a special relaxation of 30 days in the last date for depositing property tax and statement for the year 2024-25 and has fixed the last date for this as 30 April 2025. Through a circular, the Urban Administration Department has instructed the employees of the body to collect property tax from door to door and encourage citizens to pay online. The department has also instructed to inform the government about the work done for tax collection while ensuring their compliance in all urban bodies.
