The country’s first rapid rail will start running on the tracks from March this year. In the first phase, rapid rail will run from Duhai depot of Ghaziabad to Sahibabad from March this year. The speed of Rapid Rail will be 180 km per hour.

There are a total of 4 stations in the first phase, which include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai Depot. Union Minister VK Singh gave this information at the Global Investors Summit-2023 program in Kaushambi. He said that in the first phase the work of 17 kilometer track has been completed. The train will run on this. At the same time, by the end of this year, Rapid Rail will start running on 40 kilometer track. For this, work is going on on a war footing.

This train will run only on these pillars. 1700 pillars have been built on the 41 kilometer track. The rapid train will also pass through 6 tunnels. About 15 thousand laborers and more than thousand engineers are engaged in completing this project. There will be a total of 25 stations on this entire route. The first station of the route will be Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi and the last station will be Modipuram Depot in Meerut.
