There is good news for the employees of New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh. CM Jai Ram Thakur has talked about raising the retirement age of class IV employees to 60 years. Presiding over a program for the employees of Mandi in Vipasha Sadan in the evening, the CM said that the government would consider fixing the retirement age of all the employees of Class IV (Class D) at 60 years and bringing water guards into the category of daily wagers in 8 years. .

The CM said that the problems of the employees associated with the National Health Mission will also be resolved soon. The problems of the operators of Himachal Road Transport Corporation and the employees of Zilla Parishad will also be resolved. The government will also consider reducing the part-time tenure of Jal Rakshaks from 12 to 8 years.

Panchayat watchmen who have given continuous service for 12 years will also be made daily wagers. The state government has provided full salary, pension and all other financial benefits to the employees so that they do not face any kind of inconvenience.

He said that the State Government has recently decided to constitute ‘Himachal Pradesh Skill Development and Employment Corporation Company’ which will ensure the deployment of skilled, semi-skilled and other manpower in Government Departments, Boards, Corporations, Universities etc.

He said that this would bring great relief to the employees. The state government has also decided to give 50 percent discount to women in bus fares in Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses, which is helping lakhs of women employees working in government and private sector.

The CM said that on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day this year, the state government had announced to release the first installment of arrears of the revised pay scale to the employees and pensioners from January 1, 2016. Lakhs of employees of Himachal Pradesh will get arrears of revised pay scale in the month of September this year. This will benefit about 2.25 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners of the state.

Amendment in Pay Revision Rule Jai Ram Thakur said that by amending the Pay Revision Rule issued on January 3, 2022, 89 categories of employees have been provided the benefit of higher grade pay, besides about 3,200 employees working in various universities and colleges of the state. Lecturers and professors have been provided the benefit of the 7th pay scale of the University Grants Commission (UGC). He said that an estimated Rs 337 crore would be spent on the revised UGC scale from January 1, 2016 to March 31, 2022.

Update on old pension scheme, CM said that now Congress leaders are misleading the employees of the state in the name of OPS. This is not possible without the cooperation of the central government. To benefit more than one lakh NPS employees of the state, the Government’s contribution to NPS has been increased from 10 to 14 percent and they have been provided the benefit of Death Cum Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) at par with the OPS employees. The maximum limit of gratuity has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
