School Closed: Due to winter, an order has been issued to keep all schools up to class 10 closed. In such a situation, school going children have fun once again. In fact, in view of the severe winter, the Punjab government has ordered closure of all schools up to class 10th by January 14. In an official statement issued here, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that this step was necessary in the larger interest of school going children.

The statement said, ‘In view of the inclement weather in the region, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has ordered that all government, government-aided and private schools up to class 10 in the state will remain closed from January 8 to 14. It will be mandatory for all schools to follow this order.

Schools will remain closed in Delhi also

Due to the shivering cold in the national capital, all the schools run, aided and recognized by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will remain closed for the next five days. Mayor Shaili Oberoi gave this information. The mayor made this announcement in a post on ‘X’. The minimum temperature recorded in the national capital on Sunday was 8.2 degrees Celsius.

Oberoi wrote in the post, in view of the current weather conditions, all MCD and its aided and affiliated schools will remain closed for the next five days i.e. from January 8 to January 12. At the same time, 13th January is the second Saturday of the month and 14th is Sunday, hence schools will now open on 15th January.

India Meteorological Department said that there will be light to moderate fog in the coming week. At the same time, there is a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain on January 9.
