The temperature in the country’s capital Delhi crossed 45 degree Celsius. This is the condition of almost all the states of North India. In Odisha, the temperature was recorded at 45 degrees in many districts.

Due to the severe heat and heat stroke, many states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha have extended the summer vacation of children’s schools. In view of the heatwave in Delhi, the summer vacations of the schools are going on since May.

Instructions to close the schools of Bihar’s Patna up to class 12

The havoc of the scorching heat in Bihar has increased the problems of the people. In such a situation, to save the school children from the heat and to give them relief, the District Magistrate of Patna has banned all educational activities till class 12th. According to the new order, the schools will remain closed for the next one week. This order of the magistrate will remain effective till June 24.

Odisha government extends school holidays by two days

Odisha government has extended school holidays by two more days in view of the prevailing hot and humid weather. A government official said on Friday that both government and private schools across the state would now open on June 21 instead of June 19. In the letter issued by the department, it has been said that after careful consideration, the government has issued instructions to reopen the schools on June 21, 2023, under the Department of School and Mass Education.

School holidays extended in Himachal and Chhattisgarh

According to the Directorate of Higher Education of Himachal Pradesh, there will be rainy holidays from June 22 to July 29 in the summer vacation schools of the state. At the same time, due to the scorching heat in Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended the summer vacation from June 15 to June 25. Schools will now open in Chhattisgarh from June 26.
