New Delhi: A big announcement has been made regarding the winter vacation of schools in the national capital Delhi. This time the winter vacation in schools will last only for 6 days. Let us know in details>>>>

However, earlier schools remained closed from January 1 to January 15. But now according to the new order of the government, schools will remain closed from January 1 to January 6 only. In fact, the Delhi government had already closed all the schools from November 9 to November 18 due to poor air quality.

Therefore, keeping in mind the education of children, it has been decided to reduce the winter holidays this time. The Directorate of Education of Delhi Government has also issued a circular for winter vacation in Delhi schools. According to the circular, this time the winter holidays will start from January 1 and will continue till January 6.

In the circular issued by the Delhi government, it is written, ‘The winter vacation for the academic session 2023-24 was to be from January 1 to January 15. However, to ensure that our students are not adversely affected due to poor air quality index in Delhi, a part of the winter vacation was observed from November 9 to November 18. It is also written in the circular that the remaining part of winter vacation for the academic session 2023-2024 is scheduled to be celebrated from January 1 to January 6, 2024.

All schools in Delhi are directed to disseminate this information to all stakeholders including non-teaching staff, teaching staff, students and their families through various mediums. Let us tell you that last month in November, even before Diwali, the air quality index in Delhi had crossed 500 for several consecutive days.

Therefore, considering the seriousness of air quality, the Directorate of Education of Delhi Government had announced winter vacation from 9th November to 18th November. During this period, schools were closed across Delhi.
