Spicejet will run special flight for Haj

SpiceJet said it would be the first to start special flights to Jeddah by diverting some of its aircraft from busy routes. For this, SpiceJet has deployed Q400 Bombardier aircraft flying on the Hyderabad-Puducherry-Bangalore route.

According to sources, the flight occupancy on the Hyderabad-Puducherry route is 80 per cent from Monday to Friday and 90 to 95 per cent on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday.

Similarly, flight occupancy on the Puducherry-Bengaluru route is around 40 to 50 percent on both Monday to Friday and including weekends, due to which SpiceJet has decided to temporarily stop service on this route.

Flight can be stopped again in August

Let us tell you that at present the airline has temporarily suspended the flight till July 2 and has asked to start the service again normally on July 3.

On the other hand, after July, once again in August next month, flights will be temporarily suspended on these routes as SpiceJet aircraft will bring back Haj pilgrims from Jeddah.

Airline advice to passengers

The airline advised passengers to stay informed through the airline’s official channels for any further updates. The airline said that SpiceJet is committed to ensuring a smooth travel experience for all passengers during these extraordinary circumstances.

According to experts in the matter, SpiceJet’s decision to temporarily stop flights from Puducherry to Hyderabad and Bengaluru is being seen as a strategic move.
