According to the government, e-KYC under the Mukhyamantri Manjhi Ladki Bahin Yojana should be completed within two months. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said, “The e-KYC facility has been made available to all beneficiaries of the scheme on the web portal ‘ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in’. They are requested to complete the e-KYC process within the next two months.”

In a post on Instagram, she stated that the process is easy and convenient and should be completed to maintain transparency in the scheme and ensure continued benefits to eligible women. Failing to authenticate Aadhaar will result in the suspension of benefits. The state government said that beneficiaries will have to mandatorily complete the e-KYC process every year.

A total of 15,76,222 ration cardholder consumers are registered in Kishanganj district, out of which e-KYC process of 10,66,102 people has been completed so far. This is 67.64 percent of the total target. That is, still 5,10,120 consumers (32.36%) have not been able to get e-KYC done, which is a worrying situation. Such a large number of pendencies indicate that either people are lacking information or are struggling with lack of facilities.

Most pending in Thakurganj

If we look at block-wise e-KYC pendency, Thakurganj block has the highest number of 92,131 beneficiaries with pending e-KYC. The status of other major blocks is as follows:

• Kochadhaman – 82,637
• Bahadurganj – 76,313
• Kishanganj – 73,322
• Dighalbank – 72,547
• Pothia – 69,054
• Terhagachh – 44,116

It is clear from these figures that thousands of people in many blocks have still not been able to get e-KYC done, due to which it may be difficult for them to get ration in future.

Administration’s efforts continue

The administration is constantly monitoring and running awareness campaigns so that people can get their e-KYC done on time. Despite this, people’s participation is very low. For example, on March 31, only 426 beneficiaries got their e-KYC done in the entire district, which is a very low number. This shows that either the process is difficult, or there is a huge lack of information and awareness among the people. If this situation continues like this, then thousands of people may be deprived of government food grains from May 1.

People had started returning without wheat, but now the district food supply officials have assured that wheat trucks have been ordered. Due to this, there will be no shortage of wheat in the depots. ADFSO Ajay Prinj said that to overcome the shortage of wheat, 20 wheat trucks have been ordered from Jalandhar. It will be delivered to the respective depots.

E-KYC is being done continuously

Deputy Director of Social Justice Department, Pragya Maravi said that the pension of any eligible beneficiary has not been stopped, but the government has instructed that the KYC of every beneficiary has to be updated. Pension is being stopped if KYC is not updated. We are continuously getting e-KYC done. Now only those will get pension whose e-KYC is updated.

Ineligible people were also taking pension

Maravi said that in KYC many such people are being caught whose age is less than 60 years and they are taking pension. Similarly there are many people who are not eligible and were taking benefits by giving wrong information. This initiative is being taken to put a stop to this. Instructions have been received from the government to pay the pension amount along with arrears to those who are eligible.

Taking benefit of more than one plan

Deputy Director Marawi said that the government has made a portal for all types of social security pension and eKYC is being updated on this portal. In this, those people are also being caught who are taking benefit of more than one scheme, whereas the government has set a guideline for getting the benefit of the schemes.

Work is being done on the same guidelines, due to which the pension of some people has been stopped. Everyone is being verified and if they are eligible, they will start getting pension. Around six crore rupees of social security pension is being paid every year in the district.

File to be downloaded:

In this facility, the KYC details of the customer are entered in an XML file, which is digitally signed by the authority. This file can be read only through a special machine. In this way, e-KYC can be completed easily without revealing the Aadhaar number. The XML file has to be downloaded from the website of the authority in zip format.

Tampering will be able to be detected:

According to the authority, in this system any kind of tampering done in Aadhaar information will be easily detected by the concerned agency. KYC data is linked with the passcode provided by the Aadhaar number holder.

• First of all go to the official website of Aadhaar https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
• After this, enter the Aadhaar number and login through OTP.
• This will open the Aadhaar dashboard. Click on the button of Offline e-KYC here.
• After this a share code has to be entered for Aadhaar paperless e-KYC. This code will be used to open this file in future.
• Now click on download. This will download the zip file. Its password will be your share code, which you entered while opening the website.

Now update Aadhaar for free till March 14, 2024:

Now through My Aadhaar portal, it can be updated till March 14, 2024 without paying any fee. Documents can be submitted online on myAadhaar portal or by visiting any Aadhaar centre.

Documents required for update

• Ration Card, Voter ID Card, Government issued Identity Card/Address Certificate, and Indian Passport, which are valid as proof of both identity and address.
• Documents like PAN card, driving license, secondary or senior school marksheet or school leaving certificate (TC) with photograph, government issued identity card or certificate are only valid as proof of identity.
• Electricity/Water/Gas Bill (last 3 months), Bank/Post Office Passbook, Rent/Lease/Leave and License Agreement are valid as address proof only.

This is the way to download the app

To take advantage of the new facility, first of all download the FACE RD APP app from Google Play Store. After this, login to the Kisan Yojana app, type Beneficiary in it and write the Aadhaar number. After this, an OTP will come on the link number from Aadhaar, fill it here. Then set the MPIN and submit it. After doing this, you will have two options open, Dashboard and Logout, click on Dashboard, now all your details will be shown here. Here the face authentication feature will open, you can do face authentication by selecting the option of e-KYC.
