Bank Holiday : If you have some important bank related work left, then complete it by today, Friday 11 April 2025. After this, banks will remain closed for three days as there will be a long bank holiday weekend from 12 to 14 April.

This holiday is due to second Saturday, Sunday and local festival. If you want to do some important work in the bank, then the only chance is on Friday 11 April. Banks will remain closed for three days ahead. Do check the holiday list of your nearest bank branch and complete the work on time.

Bank Holiday List

April 11 (Friday):

Banks will remain open in all states. This will be the last working day before the holidays. Customers should complete important tasks like cash withdrawal, cheque clearance and branch visits on this day.

April 12 (Saturday):

Second Saturday of the month, as per RBI guidelines banks will be closed on this day in all states.

April 13 (Sunday):

All banks across the country will remain completely closed.

April 14 (Monday):

In most states, banks will remain closed on account of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti and local festivals like Vishu (Kerala), Bihu (Assam) and Tamil New Year (Tamil Nadu).

In which states will banks remain open on April 14?

Banks will remain open in Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh.

Customers should keep these things in mind

Due to this long holiday, banking services such as check clearance, DD and in-branch transactions may be affected. In such a situation, business houses, salary processing units and general customers are advised to complete their important banking work by April 11 so that they do not face any inconvenience later.

When will the banks remain closed in April 2025?

April 14 (Monday) – Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh due to Ambedkar Jayanti and New Year festivals of some states (Vishu, Bihu, Tamil New Year).

April 15 (Tuesday ) – Banks will remain closed in Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh on account of Bengali New Year, Himachal Day and Bohag Bihu.

April 18 (Friday) – Banks will be closed in Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar on account of Good Friday.

April 21 (Monday) – Banks will remain closed in Tripura. Garia Puja, a tribal festival, will be celebrated on this day.

April 29 (Tuesday) – Banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh as Lord Parshuram Jayanti will be celebrated on this day.

April 30 (Wednesday) – Banks will remain closed in Karnataka as Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on this day.
