The bench said that Aadhar card, PAN card and voter ID are only for identification of citizens or to provide them services. Along with this, the court refused to grant bail to Babu Abdul Rauf Sardar. Babu Abdul is accused of entering India without any valid passport or visa.

If a person has documents like Aadhar card, PAN card or voter ID, it does not mean that he will become a citizen of India. Bombay High Court said this while refusing to grant bail to a person accused of illegal infiltration from Bangladesh. The person is accused of living in India for about a year by making fake documents. Justice Amit Borkar’s bench said that the Citizenship Act clarifies who can be a citizen of India and who cannot. This Act explains how citizenship can be acquired.

The bench said that Aadhaar card, PAN card and voter ID are only for identification of citizens or for providing services to them. With this, the court refused to grant bail to Babu Abdul Rauf Sardar. Babu Abdul is accused of entering India without a valid passport or visa. He had got all the documents ready after coming here, which included Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID and Indian passport. Justice Borkar said that the Parliament had passed the Citizenship Act in 1955, which clearly explains who is called a citizen and who is not and who can become one.

Documents like Aadhaar, PAN are only for identification, not citizenship

He said, ‘In my opinion, the Citizenship Act, 1955 is the only law that defines citizenship and nationality in India. It clarifies who is a citizen, how is a citizen and if citizenship is not there, how can it be acquired.’ Justice Borkar said that just by having an Aadhar card, PAN card or voter ID, one does not become a citizen of India. These documents are there so that the citizen is identified and services can be provided to him. The Citizenship Act, which defines nationality, cannot be rejected on the basis of these documents. This important decision of the court has come at a time when there is a debate going on in Bihar on the SIR of the voter list.

The court said- it is important to differentiate between an intruder and a citizen, otherwise the country is in danger

The bench said that the 1955 law clearly states the difference between Indian citizens and intruders. He said that people who enter India illegally do not have any right to acquire Indian citizenship. He said that the difference between a citizen and an intruder is important because it protects the sovereignty of the country. It is this that ensures that citizens get their rights and no illegal person is able to acquire them. The bench ordered the investigation against the accused Bangladeshi to continue and said that if he is taken out, he will run away.

The post HC Clarifies: Aadhaar, PAN & Voter ID Alone Don’t Prove Indian Citizenship first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Today, from July 1, many new rules related to PAN, ITR , railway ticket booking, credit card are being implemented. These will have an impact on your pocket. The government and banks say that these rules are to increase security, make digital transactions easier and strengthen legal compliance, but for common people, these can also cause hassle and extra expenses at some places. Therefore, it is important that you complete your work before these changes or be aware of the new charges.

Aadhaar is now mandatory for getting PAN card

From July 1, Aadhaar card has become mandatory for making a new PAN card. Earlier, documents like driving license or birth certificate could also be used for making PAN, but now only Aadhaar will be accepted. Those who already have PAN but it is not linked to Aadhaar have time till December 31. If this is not done then the PAN will become inactive, which will affect every work from paying tax to banking.

Aadhaar hold on Tatkal train tickets

Now, even the Tatkal coach of the railways will not be available without Aadhaar. Aadhaar verification has been made mandatory for booking Tatkal tickets. Also, from July 15, two-factor OTP verification will be applicable in ticket booking both online and at the counter. That is, the OTP received on the registered mobile will have to be entered. Another big news is that the railways is considering increasing the fare. There may be an increase of 1 paisa per km for non-AC coaches and 2 paisa per km for AC.

Extra time given to file income tax return

Relief news for tax payers. The Income Tax Department has extended the last date for filing ITR from 31 July to 15 September. This means that salaried people have now got 46 days extra time to file their returns. Tax experts advise to file ITR early to avoid last minute rush and technical difficulties.

Credit card charges increased, facilities changed

Big banks like SBI, HDFC and ICICI are now imposing new rules on your credit card.

For SBI card holders: The air accident insurance facility available on premium cards like SBI Elite and Miles will now be discontinued. Also, the method of calculating the minimum outstanding amount (MAD) every month will also change.

HDFC Bank’s new charges: 1% charge will now be levied on paying rent, spending more than Rs 10,000 on online gaming, paying utility bills above Rs 50,000 excluding insurance, and adding Rs 10,000+ in one go to digital wallet (up to a maximum of Rs 4,999).

ATM withdrawal charges hike: First 5 withdrawals are free at ICICI Bank’s own ATMs, then a charge of Rs 23. After 3 free transactions in metros and 5 free transactions in non-metros, Rs 23 will be charged for cash withdrawal and Rs 8.50 for balance check at other bank’s ATMs.

Foreign ATM: Rs 125 + 3.5% foreign currency charge on cash withdrawal. IMPS transfer: Rs 2.5 to Rs 15 (depending on the amount).

Cash deposit: First 3 deposits at cash recycler machine are free, thereafter Rs 150 per transaction. Deposits above Rs 1 lakh in a month will be charged Rs 150 or Rs 3.5 per Rs 1,000 (whichever is higher).

New Financial Rules: Many new financial rules are going to be implemented from July 1, 2025, which will affect your pocket. Knowing about these new changes in advance will help you avoid any loss and be prepared in advance. From mandatory Aadhaar to new credit card rules, many important changes will be implemented from July 1. Let us tell you about it.

Aadhaar verification is mandatory for new PAN card

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced that Aadhaar verification will be mandatory for new PAN card applications from July 1. Its purpose is to increase tax compliance and promote digitization. Let us tell you that earlier a valid ID and birth certificate was required to get a PAN card, but from July 1, PAN cannot be made without an Aadhaar card.

ITR filing deadline extended

The CBDT has extended the last date for filing ITR to September 15, 2025, which was earlier scheduled to end on July 31, 2025. This will give taxpayers more time to file their returns without any haste, thereby reducing the chances of errors and incorrect filing.

Revision of credit card and banking charges by SBI, HDFC and ICICI Bank

From July 15, 2025, SBI Cards will revise its minimum amount due calculation for credit card bills to include the full GST, EMI amount, charges, finance charges and over-limit amount, plus 2% of the remaining unpaid balance. Payments will be made in a fixed order, with priority given to GST, EMIs, fees, finance charges, balance transfers, retail transactions and cash withdrawals. Also, SBI Cards will discontinue complimentary air accident insurance, eliminating the Rs 1 crore cover for Elite, Pulse and Miles Elite cards and Rs 50 lakh cover for Prime and Miles Prime cards, affecting both existing and new cardholders.

From July 1, 2025, HDFC Bank will charge a 1% fee on online gaming and wallet load transactions exceeding Rs 10,000 per month, capped at Rs 4,999. No reward points will be earned on these. Utility bill payments above Rs 50,000 (consumer cards) or Rs 75,000 (business cards) will attract a 1% fee, capped at Rs 4,999, while rent, fuel (above Rs 15,000 or Rs 30,000 depending on the card variant) and education payments through third-party platforms will continue to attract a 1% fee, capped at Rs 4,999 per transaction. Reward points on insurance will be limited to 10,000 for Infinia/Infinia Metal, 5,000 for Diners Black/Biz Black Metal and 2,000 for most other cards, with no limit for Marriott Bonvoy cards; however, all charges will be subject to GST.

Axis Bank increased ATM usage charges

Following many other banks, Axis Bank has announced to increase ATM transaction charges above the free limit from Rs 21 per transaction to Rs 23 per transaction from July 1, 2025. This change will affect both Axis and non-Axis ATM users. Let us tell you that many other lenders had already increased ATM charges from May 1 to cover rising operational costs and provide better service.

The government has taken a big decision regarding making PAN card and linking it with Aadhaar. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has made it mandatory to provide Aadhaar card for new PAN card from July 1, 2025.

Also, those who already have both PAN and Aadhaar will have to link both by December 31, 2025. After this, the PAN card will be inactive without Aadhaar link, which may cause problems in tax and other financial activities. Let us know the complete information of this new rule and the easy process of linking.

The purpose of this change is to increase transparency in the tax system and strengthen digital processes. Currently, a person could use various identity cards to get a PAN card, but now the application will not be accepted without Aadhaar. This step is an important initiative towards making the process of filing tax returns easy and accountable.

If you want to link your PAN card with Aadhaar, you can go to the Income Tax e-filing website and choose the ‘Link Aadhaar’ option. In this, you have to fill in the PAN number, Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. Finally, the linking process is completed by confirming the authenticity of Aadhaar and a message will appear if it is successful.

Due to this rule, it has become necessary to get Aadhaar-PAN linking done on time, so that any kind of trouble can be avoided. After 31 December 2025, PAN cards without linking will become inactive and this will affect your financial and tax matters.

PAN 2.0: Many people are asking whether the old PAN cards will become invalid after the introduction of PAN 2.0? Is it now necessary for everyone to get PAN card 2.0? If you also want to know about this, then today we are going to tell you about this.

PAN Card: Many people in the country have PAN card. PAN card is a very important document. Many of our important details are recorded in it. We need PAN card to carry out many financial activities. PAN card is issued by the Income Tax Department. It has a ten-digit alphanumeric number, which is issued separately for each person.

Today, we need PAN card at many places like while joining a job, while filing income tax return, investing in stock or mutual fund etc. Apart from this, when a person applies for a loan or credit card, the bank or financial institution assesses the financial condition of the person with the help of PAN card.

Recently, PAN Card 2.0 project has been launched in India. Under the PAN Card 2.0 project, a new type of PAN card will be issued. PAN Card 2.0 will also have a special QR code. Apart from this, security features will also be available in it.

Due to this, many people are asking whether the old PAN cards will become invalid after the introduction of PAN 2.0? Is it now necessary for everyone to get PAN card 2.0? If you also want to know about this, then today we are going to tell you about this.

The Government of India itself will issue PAN 2.0. No fee will be charged from anyone for this. If you have an old PAN card, then you do not need to apply for a new PAN card.

After the arrival of PAN 2.0, the validity of the old PAN card will not be affected. Old PAN cards will also remain valid. Those people who apply for new PAN cards will get new PAN cards.

On the other hand, those people who have some kind of mistake in their PAN card and they update their PAN card, then these people will be issued new PAN card 2.0. This PAN card will also have a QR code.

A PAN is provided by the Income Tax Department of India, which consists of 10-character alphanumeric digits which is the unique PAN number allotted to every eligible individual.

PAN is also required for filing income tax returns and for carrying out financial transactions. The main purpose of the PAN card is to use an universal identification card to monitor financial transactions that may have a taxable aspect to avoid tax. The PAN number remains unchanged by a change of address across India and also serves as an important proof of identification for an individual.

Eligibility required to apply for PAN

Individuals receiving taxable income in India, except foreign nationals paying taxes throughout India.

Anyone who conducts a business (whether retail, services or consulting) with net revenue, turnover or net cash in excess of Rs 5 lakh in the previous financial year.

Why PAN is mandatory to file an Income Tax Return?

Use of PAN to file Income Tax Return: A PAN card is a prerequisite to submit your income tax returns, as the government utilizes the PAN card to recognize an individual or entity from a tax perspective. The PAN card number must be recorded while filing income tax returns for individuals and entities, unless the person or entity’s income tax returns are not recognized and the government believes that the individual has not incurred his or her tax.

Use of PAN to file Income Tax Refund: Citizens and entities liable for income tax deductions after paying their taxes will be asked to cite their PAN card number in their application process. The PAN must be cited as the only form of recognition used by the government in tax related operations. Malfunction to cite the PAN in such an application will lead to the request not being approved and the individual/entity will not be refunded.

Use of PAN to track IT return status: Taxpayers should monitor the status of their refund on the government page. By entering the individual/entity PAN card number after the claim for income tax refund has been filed one can check his or her IT return status.

Use of PAN to file TDS certificates: TDS i.e. Tax Deducted at Source form of tax collection introduced by the Government of India by which the amount of the tax is withheld at the time the amount is charged to the respective taxpayer. Businesses, traders or any organization that subtracts TDS are supposed to have a TDS certificate specifying the amount of tax that has been withheld. A TDS certificate must also include the PAN number of the payee in all records, such as the TDS refund, the perquisite declaration and the income in favor of salary.

PAN Card for not be overtaxed: Taxpayers who do not want to be overtaxed can submit their PAN specifics at the time of filing their returns. since the government will have a database of their expenses and will only measure tax without evaluating exemptions. That being said, for individuals and organisations who do not cite their PAN numbers, the government will charge a flat tax of 30 per cent irrespective of the tax leaf to which the individual or entity is subject. Thus, having a PAN card lets the user from paying more than he/she wants to.

In case you have multiple PAN Cards: As per the guidelines, having multiple PAN cards under your name is an offense. A liability of Rs.10,000 will be imposed under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act if it is found to have multiple PANs. In case you have more than one PAN, it’s best to give it up instantly.

Securities and Exchange Board of India i.e. SEBI keeps a close watch on the stock market. Many rules are implemented to prevent any investor from committing any kind of fraud. Recently SEBI has issued a circular. As per this circular, PAN KYC details and enrollment have been abolished. Read the full news

In a relief to holders of physical shares, market regulator SEBI has done away with the requirement of freezing these without PAN, KYC details and nomination. Securities and Exchange Board of India ( SEBI ) issued a circular regarding this. According to this circular, this step has been taken with the aim of simplifying the rules and it will come into effect immediately.

This decision has been taken after receiving feedback from Registrar Association of India and investors. Under the rule, it was mandatory for all holders of physical shares of listed companies to furnish PAN, nomination, contact details, bank account details and specimen signatures for their respective folio numbers.

SEBI had said in May that folios whose details are not available after October 1, 2023, will be frozen by the Registrar of Issue and Share Transfer Agents (RTAs). Amending the circular issued in May, SEBI said that the reference to the word freeze has been removed.

Why did SEBI change the rules?

SEBI said that they have taken this decision to make share trading easier. After the change in this rule, the unexpected challenges faced by investors will be reduced to a great extent. When folios were frozen, investors had to face many problems. SEBI has taken this decision after suggestions received from investors.

SEBI had issued a circular in May this year. In this circular he had removed the reference ‘freezing/frozen’. The decision was taken after consultation and feedback from the Registrar Association of India and investors.

Aadhaar-PAN linking: The last date for linking PAN with biometric Aadhaar was June 30, 2023, by paying a late fee of ₹1000. Taxpayers who have not linked the two till this date will not be able to avail some services related to income tax.

From July 1, 2023, PAN will become inactive for those who have failed to link it with Aadhaar. TDS (tax deducted at source) and TCS (tax collected at source) of these people will be deducted at a higher rate. As per the Income Tax Act 1961, it is mandatory for all PAN holders who do not fall in the exempted category to link their PAN with Aadhaar.

This is how PAN can be activated

After paying the penalty, the taxpayer can activate his PAN. This process can be done on the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) portal by paying the amount under challan number ITNS 280 with Major Head 0021 and Minor Head 500 (Other Receipts).

ITRs will not be processed without linking

While it is possible to file Income Tax Returns (ITRs) without linking PAN to biometric Aadhaar, the Income Tax Department will not process ITRs unless the two are linked. On Friday, the Income Tax Department said it would duly consider cases where PAN could not be linked with Aadhaar despite individuals giving consent and paying fees.

In a tweet, the Income Tax Department had said that there have been cases where PAN holders have faced difficulty in downloading challans after payment of fee for Aadhaar-PAN linking. It was said by the department “In this regard, it is informed that the challan payment status can be checked in the ‘e-pay tax’ tab of the portal after login. If the payment is successful, the PAN holder can proceed to link PAN with Aadhaar.

The post Aadhaar-PAN linking: Could not link before July 1?

Pan Card has become the most important document for every financial work in today’s time. PAN is needed only in the bank or other transactions related to income tax return.

PAN card is also used for identification and financial transactions, but sometimes people make one or more PAN cards by mistake. This time in the budget, Finance Minister Sitharaman has also made a big announcement regarding the PAN card. In Budget 2023, the Finance Minister has given a new identity to the PAN card. He has said that now the use of PAN card will be common for all. Now you can use PAN card as a Common Identifier. Along with this, any business can also be started with PAN card only.

For this, PAN card holders are advised to link their Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar card number by March 31, 2023. If you do not link your PAN with Aadhaar before this deadline, then your PAN card can also be deactivated. Along with this, you will also have to pay Rs 1,000 for linking PAN with Aadhaar.

Many times people make one or more PAN cards by mistake. Although these PAN cards are made only on the basis of correct identity and details, but before 2016 the Income Tax Department had received many complaints. In these complaints, it was revealed that he had more than two PAN cards.

If you also have more than one PAN card, then it would be better for you to surrender them. The Income Tax Department says that if a person has more than one PAN card, then there is a minimum punishment of 6 months and a minimum fine of Rs 10,000. This punishment and fine can both increase.

This is how you can get the link online

Tick the square if only the year of birth is given in the Aadhaar card.
Now enter the captcha code.
Now click on the Link Aadhaar button,
your PAN will be linked to Aadhaar.

This is how you can link through SMS,

you have to type UIDPAN on your phone. After this, write the 12 digit Aadhaar number. Then write the 10 digit PAN number. Now send the message mentioned in step 1 to 567678 or 56161.

How To Activate Inactive PAN An inactive PAN card can be activated. For this you have to do an SMS.

In the country’s general budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has changed the rules related to Provident Fund (PF Account). If the EPFO subscriber has not completed five years of account opening and he withdraws money from his account, then he will have to pay tax now.

TDS will not be deducted if withdrawn after five years. TDS will be deducted on the entire amount withdrawn from the PF account before five years. Not only this, PF contribution of more than Rs 2.50 lakh in a year will come under tax net.

An important change has been made regarding TDS in the budget. If you withdraw money from your PF account after April 1, 2023, now you will have to pay TDS at 20% instead of 30%. Whether your account is linked to PAN card or not. If you withdraw from EPF before 1 April 2023, you will have to pay TDS as before.

TDS is not applicable after 5 years.

If an account holder withdraws money within 5 years, he has to pay TDS. At the same time, no TDS will be levied on withdrawal of money after 5 years. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had informed in the budget that the limit of Rs 10,000 for TDS has also been removed.

Understand the new rule like this According to media report, tax expert Balwant Jain says that if PAN is not linked to Aadhaar, then PF withdrawal tax will have to be paid if the withdrawal is made before five years of opening the PF or EPF account. If the PF account is linked to the PAN card of the account holder, no TDS will be levied on the withdrawal amount. The amount that will be withdrawn from PF will be added to the total taxable income of the account holder for that year and will be taxed as per the income tax slab of the PF account holder.

Balwant Jain says that if the PF account is not linked to the PAN card of the account holder, then TDS is deducted on the net amount available in his PF account. Currently the TDS rate is 30 percent, which will be reduced to 20 percent from April 1, 2023.

Let us tell you that this time interest will be available at the rate of 8.1 percent. According to the information received so far, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has calculated the interest received in the PF account in the financial year 2022. Soon it will be transferred to the account of the account holders. This time a total of Rs 72,000 crore deposited in the account of the government will be sent to the account of the employed.

When will the money be transferred?

It is worth noting that last year people had to wait 6 to 8 months for interest. But, last year due to Kovid, the atmosphere was different. This year the government will not delay. According to media reports, interest money can be transferred to the account by the end of this month. This year’s interest is at the lowest level in 40 years.

The calculation of interest is quite simple

If you have Rs 10 lakh in your PF account then you will get Rs 81,000 as interest.
If you have Rs 7 lakh in your PF account, you will get Rs 56,700 as interest.
If you have Rs 5 lakh in your PF account, then Rs 40,500 will come as interest.
4. After filling all the details, you will come to a new page and here you will have to select the member ID.
5. Here you will get your EPF balance on the e-passbook.

3. Balance can also be checked on UMANG App

1. For this, you open your UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) and click on EPFO.
2. Now on the other page, click on Employee-centric services.
3. Here you click on ‘View Passbook’. With this, you fill your UAN number and Password (OTP) number.

EPFO New Guideline: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has issued new guidelines on tax deduction for private sector employees who contribute more than 2.50 lakh to retirement savings accounts every year. . The EPFO said in a circular that the tax limit for EPF contribution for government employees would be Rs 5 lakh per annum.

This taxation scheme came into effect from 1st April this year. Employees in India are required to have an EPF account. As per the circular, TDS will be deducted on payment of interest in the EPF account. TDS will be deducted at a later date on final settlement pending for final settlement or transfer.

For those who have not integrated their PAN into their EPF accounts, contributions above Rs 2.5 lakh will be taxed at 20% from their annual income. Those who have linked their EPF accounts with their PAN will be taxed at the rate of 10%.

Other information about the new guidelines

As per the circular, the EPFO will maintain a non-taxable account and a taxable account for all such members who contribute more than 2.5 lakhs.

If the TDS calculated is less than 5,000, no TDS will be deducted from the interest deposited in such EPF accounts.

For ex-pat and non-resident employees having EPF accounts active in India, tax will be levied at the rate of 30% as per the requirements of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between India and the country concerned.

TDS will also be applicable to all EPFO members, especially members of exempted establishments or exempted trusts.

In case of death of EPFO member, TDS rate will remain unchanged.

The interest earned on the funds in EPF accounts is credited on an annual basis. However, the accounts are maintained on a monthly basis. Consequently, if no transfer or final settlement is made in the entire financial year, TDS will be deducted on payment of interest. EPFO now has 24.77 crore accounts of its members.

New rules are applicable on TDS for the residents of the same. TDS 4% Cess is applicable for Non Resident Indian. Apart from this, interest surcharge has been fixed at 10 percent for Indian non-resident above 50 to 1 crore, while there is a 15 percent surcharge on interest above one crore to 2 crore, while if its number is more than 10 crore, then the right on interest. 37% has been fixed. However, there will be no head charge on interest above ₹ 50 lakh.

Two UAN Merge

Many such cases have come to the fore in recent times. Where employees have been assigned multiple UANs. As per the rules, a person should have only one UAN in his entire lifetime. An employee’s EPF account is linked to his UAN. If two UANs have been given to an EPFO member, the old UAN should be deactivated.

Reasons for allotment of two UANs

When an employee changes his job, a new EPF account is opened by the new company. All EPF accounts are linked to UAN. Hence, there is a high probability that when the member employee changes his organization, he is allotted a new UAN. There can be many reasons for allotting a new UAN to a member. The most common reasons are listed below:

Employee did not disclose his previous UAN – When an employee changes his job, he has to disclose his previous UAN and EPF account number (Member ID). If he does not provide these details, the new employer opens his new UAN and EPF account

Non-submission of “Date of Exit” by the previous employer – Your previous employer has to mention the date of exit in the ECR (Electronic Invoice and Return). If this information is not given in time, the new establishment allots a new UAN to the employee.

What happens when you have 2 UANs?

It is against the rules to have two active UANs at the same time. A member should have only one UAN in which all his EPF accounts are linked. EPF accounts are non-transferrable in case of different employees. However, an employee having two UANs can transfer his EPF account from one to another and deactivate his previous UAN. Therefore, one EPF account linked to one UAN has to be mandatorily transferred to another EPF account linked to another UAN.

2 What should an employee do in case of allotment of UAN?

If you have been allotted two UANs, you can deactivate one of them (usually, the previous one). According to the EPFO website, there are two ways to deactivate UAN and transfer your EPF account. There are two methods below:

Process 1

As soon as you come to know about it, report the issue to your employer or EPFO. You can send an email to uanepf@epfindia.gov.in mentioning your current and previous UAN.

EPFO will verify the issue

Your previous UAN will be blocked and your current UAN will be kept active

Post this you need to submit claim to transfer EPF account to new active account

This process takes a while and the resolution rate recorded is very low.

Thus, EPFO has come up with a new process wherein it will be easy for a member to merge his two UANs and transfer his EPF easily.

The EPFO member has to make a request to transfer the EPF amount from the old UAN to the new UAN.

Once the request for transfer of EPF is made, the EPFO system automatically identifies the duplicate UAN. This identification process takes place in intervals.

After proper identification, the old UAN from which the EPF transfer has been processed,

Will be deactivated by EPFO and the previous member ID of the employee will be linked to the new UAN.

The status of inactivity is informed to the employee through an SMS.

If the employee has not activated his new UAN, he will be requested to activate it to get the updated status of the account.

There may be instances where the employee receives PF dues from the previous employer. In such cases, arrears are received in the new PF account linked to the new UAN as you have two EPF accounts with different UANs. The system of EPFO will recognize the same automatically. This identification happens from time to time. So, as soon as you come to know about it. You should apply to transfer the old EPF to the new one. The system auto-populates the new UAN number in the ECR.
