The National Payments Corporation of India said in a circular issued on April 26 that UPI users will now have to wait less in any transaction related activities.

The transaction process will be completed in 10 seconds

NPCI said that earlier UPI transaction related work used to take 30 seconds, now it will take only 10 seconds. In such a situation, user experience will be better and any transaction related work will be done in a jiffy. At the same time, if UPI payment was reversed for any reason, then one had to wait for 30 seconds, but now it will also take only 10 seconds. NPCI has instructed all payment service providers to make all necessary changes to implement this facility.

There will be no impact on the technical decline rate

NPCI said in the circular, “These changes are being made to further improve the user experience. All members will have to make necessary changes in their systems so that the response time is followed. Also, it has to be ensured that the change in response time does not affect the rate of Technical Decline (TD).”

More than 10 billion transactions done through UPI in August

The number of transactions through UPI has crossed 10 billion in August. Recently NPCI had given this information. According to NCPI data, on August 30, the number of UPI transactions reached 10.24 billion. The value of these transactions was Rs 15,18,456.4 crore. The number of UPI transactions in July was 9.96 billion while in June it was 9.33 billion.

In May this year, the Central Reserve Bank had directed banks, ATM networks, white label ATM operators across the country to provide the facility of ICCW or Interoperable Card-less Cash Withdrawal at ATMs, so that with the help of this facility, they can withdraw from any ATM. In net banking, money was deposited with the help of IMPS, NEFT or RTGS. Now a new facility of UPI has been added to it. With the help of this, customers will be able to deposit money in the account in real time and they will also know the status immediately.

As per PFRDA, the UPI handle for de-remit has been introduced whose address is PFRDA.15digitVirtualAccount@axisbank. PFRDA has told that if money is deposited through UPI before 9.30 am, it will be counted in the payment of the same day. If money is deposited in NPS or APY after 9.30 am, then it will be considered as investment for the next day.

NPS is for those working in the organized sector while employees of the non-organized sector can also take advantage of APY. NPS was started in 2003.
