Taj Hotels Data Leak: Tata Group’s Taj Hotel data breached, claims information of 15 lakh customers leaked

Big news has come in the data leak case of Tata-owned Taj Hotels. According to the report, in the recent data leak, personal information of about 1.5 million i.e. 15 lakh people has been compromised.

According to news agency IANS, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), which runs the Taj Group, said that it is investigating the claims of data leak. Indian Hotels Company Limited spokesperson said, “The criminals, known as ‘DanCookies’, are requesting $5,000 for the entire dataset, including addresses, membership IDs, mobile numbers and other personally identifiable information (PII).

IHCL is investigating.

IHCL spokesperson said, “We are investigating this claim and have informed the concerned authorities. “We continue to monitor our systems.”

However, Delhi Police has not yet confirmed whether they have received any complaint from Taj Group or not.
