According to the advisory of the traffic police, a diversion plan has been made due to the closure of the highway between Rangpuri and Rajokri. Due to the closure of this major highway, the traffic of more than 50,000 people will be affected and there will be additional load on the alternate route.

Dwarka Expressway is being constructed on NH-48 near Shiv Murti from Dwarka Link Road as per Bharatmala project. Due to this important project, construction of two underpasses and an elevated section on NH-48 is also scheduled, due to which both the carriageways of the highway between Rangpuri and Rajokri will remain closed. It will take approximately 3 months, so passengers will have to use an alternate route due to the closure of the highway.

Route diversion will happen after the closure of the highway

According to the advisory issued by the traffic police, people going to Dwarka, Najafgarh and Kapashera will have to go via Palam Road from Gurugram Road flyover. Similarly, people can use the Dwarka flyover to go from Gurugram, Kapashera, Dwarka to Dhaula Kuan and Vasant Vihar. Apart from this, it has been advised to travel from Mehrauli-Gurugram road to and from Gurugram.

Diversion implemented from Saturday

Officials of the National Highways Authority of India said that this diversion was implemented from Saturday. A 500-metre stretch of the expressway has been closed for the construction of two underpasses and a flyover in Delhi. One underpass will connect Dwarka Expressway to Nelson Mandela Marg, while the other will connect Dwarka Link Road to NH-48 Delhi Jaipur Expressway.
