According to the Times of India report, according to the new rate of NHAI, now you will have to pay a toll tax of Rs 1.43 per kilometer for passing through the National Highway by car, earlier the charge for 1 kilometer for the car was Rs 1.36.

Light passenger vehicles will have to pay more tax than before

NHAI has increased toll tax for all categories of vehicles across the country. Heavy vehicles passing through the National Highway will now have to pay up to Rs 40 more toll tax than before. Let us inform that NHAI had increased the toll tax rates by up to 8% last year as well.

Apart from light vehicles, if we talk about heavy vehicles like buses and trucks, earlier they had to pay toll ranging from Rs 525 to Rs 1005, but after the increase in rates, now they will have to pay from Rs 565 to Rs 1045.
