A new rule has been issued by TRAI to control telemarketing companies. According to which unregistered mobile numbers with 10 digits will be closed in the next 5 days.

Explain that on February 16, a report claimed that a ban on calling from unregistered mobile numbers has been ordered. In such a situation, in the next 5 days, 10 digit promotional messages, which are used for promotional calling, will be discontinued.

Use of 10 digit mobile number for promotion

Trai has shown strictness against sending promotional messages that harass users. TRAI has told in a report that 10 digit mobile cannot be used for promotion. Actually different types of numbers are issued for normal calls and promotional calls. This is so that normal and promotional calls can be identified.

However, some reports have claimed that some telecom companies are sending promotional messages and calling from 10 digit mobile numbers against the rules. According to TRAI’s new order, all telecom service providers will have to implement the rules in 5 days. After this, if found violating the rules, the 10 digit number calling the promotion will be closed within 5 days.

If you use 10 digit mobile number for promotional calling, then doing so is a violation of rules, which should be stopped immediately. Otherwise your mobile number will be blocked in next 5 days. In such a situation, it is advised that users working in telemarketing companies should not make calls from personal mobile numbers. Instead, users should make promotional calling from the registered mobile number of the company.
