Train Ticket Price Hike: Even today there is a large section of people who travel by Indian train. Trains run from remote rural areas to cities and people are able to reach their destination. For this, you just have to take a train ticket which you can book from the ticket counter or online.

Amidst all this, now if you book a train ticket from today i.e. July 1, then you will have to pay more money for it than before. This is because from today train tickets have become expensive. So if you are also going to book a train ticket, then know here how much the fare of which trains has been increased. So let’s know about this.

Information released in the official circular

  • Actually, the Ministry of Railways issued an official circular yesterday. It was informed that the fares of mail and express trains have been revised from July 1, 2025. In such a situation, if you book a train ticket from today i.e. July 1, 2025, then you will have to pay more money than before.

How much has the rent increased?

  • Based on the new announcement, the fare has been increased by 1 paisa per kilometer in non-AC classes and 2 paisa per kilometer in all AC classes. However, know that there has been no change in the fare of monthly season ticket and urban/mass transit services. Also, there has been no change in the fare of local trains i.e. suburban services.

In which trains has the fare increased?

The increased fare will be applicable only on long distance trains:-

  • Know here that the capital
  • Century
  • Duronto
  • vande bharat
  • Tejas
  • Humsafar
  • Amrit Bharat
  • Dynamic
  • Mahamana
  • Antyodaya
  • Jan Shatabdi
  • The increased fare will be applicable on all premium and special trains including Yuva Express.
  • According to the information given by the Railway Ministry, the second class fare will remain the same for 500 km. After that, there is an increase of 0.5 paise per kilometer.
  • Whereas, there has been an increase of 0.5 paise per kilometer in the sleeper and first class categories.
  • There has been an increase of 2 paise per kilometer in AC categories i.e. First, Second and Third AC
