Indian Railways has canceled 24 trains including Amritsar Superfast Express, Firozpur Cantt Express, Chandigarh Intercity Express, Chandigarh to Amritsar Junction Express on the Delhi-Ambala route in view of the devastation of rain on Tuesday. At the same time, diversion has been done in the routes of Amritsar Express, Daulatpur Chowk Express, Mumbai Central and Amritsar Express.

Railways said that due to incessant rains, trains running from Delhi are being closely monitored. Eight pumps have been installed to remove water from the Delhi-Vegetable Mandi area and railway tracks. Railways have made several arrangements to continue the train service amidst heavy rains. These also include water pumps and micro tunneling installations.
