Good news heard in MPC meeting
While presenting the first monetary policy review of the current financial year, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has said that you can avail the benefit of cardless cash deposit by using UPI in ATM. You can deposit money in the cash deposit machine.

Let us tell you, at present the facility to withdraw cash through UPI is available from ATM. You can easily go to any bank and withdraw money by using cashless facility at ATM.

Apart from this, it has also been proposed to allow the use of third party UPI apps for making UPI payments from PPI (Prepaid Payment Instruments) wallets. Currently, UPI payment through PPI can be made only using the website or mobile app provided by the PPI card issuer.
Das has said in the statement that this will help PPI card holders to make UPI payments like bank account holders. This will make things easier for customers and will promote digital mediums for small amount transactions. RBI will soon issue guidelines regarding these measures.
