UPSC Announces Direct Recruitment Drive 2026 for Over 400 Central Government Vacancies
The Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) has officially launched a major employment drive under its Direct Recruitment Scheme for 2026. The commission has notified more than 400 vacancies distributed across 98 distinct positions spanning multiple Union Ministries, Central Departments, and Union Territory administrations.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit their forms digitally through the commission’s dedicated Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.

Official Advisory: UPSC has recommended that candidates finish and submit their online profiles well in advance of the July 3 cutoff time to avoid server congestion or technical transaction failures during peak final hours.

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare: 121 vacancies for Specialist Grade-III officers, marking the single largest recruitment segment in this notification.

College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune (Ministry of Defence): Combined academic openings including 40 Assistant Professor and 10 Associate Professor posts.
