Uttarkashi Helicopter Crash, Six passengers died in helicopter crash; one injured

A helicopter crashed ahead of Ganganani in Uttarkashi. As soon as the information was received, the police-administration team rushed to the spot. Six passengers lost their lives in the accident.

A helicopter crashed in Uttarkashi district this morning. Six people have died in the accident. The disaster management team along with the police-administration rushed to the spot. The team started the rescue operation as soon as they reached the spot.

On Thursday morning at around 8:45 am, on receiving information about a helicopter crash near Gangani on Gangotri National Highway, police, SDRF, fire, medical and other disaster relief teams reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations were started. The helicopter belongs to Aerotrans Company, which took off for Harshil from Sahastradhara helipad this morning.

There were seven people including the pilot in the helicopter, out of which six passengers died on the spot. One passenger is injured. Four passengers are said to be from Mumbai and two from Andhra Pradesh.

Weather warning in the state

Let us tell you that Chardham Yatra is going on in Uttarakhand these days. A large number of pilgrims are arriving to go to Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri-Yamunotri. Some have set out on foot while many are arriving by helicopter service.

The weather department has also issued a warning regarding the weather in Uttarakhand today. Light to moderate rain is expected in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital and Champawat. Strong winds may also blow along with lightning in many areas.
Bad weather in Badrinath, helicopter carrying pilgrims to Dehradun made an emergency landing

Last Monday, on May 5, due to bad weather in the Badrinath Dham area, a helicopter going from Badrinath to Dehradun with pilgrims had to make an emergency landing at Gopeshwar playground. After staying in the ground for about five minutes, the helicopter left for Dehradun.

At around 2 pm, due to bad weather between Pipalkoti and Chamoli, the helicopter carrying the pilgrims to Dehradun after visiting Badrinath tried to make an emergency landing at Gopeshwar Police ground, but due to vehicles parked there, the helicopter came towards the playground.

Here too the ground improvement work is going on, and along with the construction of the badminton indoor building, the ground improvement work is also going on. Despite this, the pilot landed the helicopter in the middle of the ground. After staying for some time, when the weather became normal, the helicopter left for Dehradun.
