Giving information related to linking of voter ID card with Aadhaar card, the Election Commission has said that this step is being taken to establish the identity of the voters and to authenticate the identity in the voter list. According to the commission, if a voter’s name is registered in the list of more than one constituency, it can be easily traced. However, the Election Commission has not clarified whether it is necessary to link Aadhar card with Voter ID or not.
How to link voter card with aadhaar
- First of all download the Voter Helpline application on your phone from Google Play Store.
- Once the application is downloaded, you will see the option of I Agree, click on it.
- After this, you have to click on the option of Electoral Authentication Form 6B in the application, immediately after which the option to complete the process will appear, which you select.
- Here you will be asked to enter the mobile number. Remember, here enter the mobile number linked in the Aadhar card, after which an OTP will be sent to this number.
- After entering the OTP number, click on the Yes I have Voter ID option and proceed.
- After this, you will be given the option of selecting the voter ID card number and state. After completing this process, you have to click on the Proceed option.
- After completing the above mentioned process, you will see the option of Done, click on it.
- After these procedures, the application of Form 6B will open in front of you. Where you fill all your information properly.
- After this you have to verify and click on the Confirm option and submit the form.
- After the last step, an SMS will be sent by the Voter Helpline to your entered number. that you keep safe.
