Due to the activity of western disturbance, rain and snowfall is forecast for five consecutive days in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. Today, the weather remains clear in other parts including the capital Shimla.
According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, light rain and snowfall is likely at different places in Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and higher areas of Chamba, Kangra and Kullu districts on March 9. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely at some places in the state on March 10 and 11.
Yellow alert for these districts
On March 10, there is a yellow alert for heavy rain and snowfall in Chamba, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti districts. While there is an alert of thunderstorm and lightning in Kullu and Mandi. Light to moderate rain and snowfall is predicted at many places in the state from 12 to 14 March. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to gradually increase by 2-3 degree Celsius during the next 2-3 days. While during the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is likely to gradually increase by 3-5 degree Celsius. After that, during the next 3-4 days, the maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius.
