This incident happened in the forests of Marwah area of ​​Kishtwar. Due to mountains, dense forests and no communication network, it is taking time to get much information.

Pictures on social media show that the wreckage of the chopper has been found in the Marusudar river after the crash. This river flows through Marwah-Dachan in Kishtwar district. Rescue operation is going on.

About a month ago, the Army’s Cheetah helicopter crashed near Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh on March 16 after losing contact with the ATC.

Both the pilots, Lt Col Vinay Banu Reddy and Major Jayanta A, were killed in the crash. A court of inquiry has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident.

Some information about ALH helicopter

ALH-Dhruv is an indigenously developed utility aircraft with twin engine from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). HAL started developing the ALH Dhruv in 1984. The helicopters were initially designed by Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) with German help and first flew in 1992, but entered service in 2002 following certification.

According to HAL, the aircraft is “type-certified” for military operations by the Center for Military Airworthiness Certification and for civil operations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The major variants of Dhruv are divided into the categories of Dhruv MK-I, MK-II, MK-III and MK-IV.
