Holiday on April 12th

Let us tell you that according to the State Bank of India, banks remain closed on the second Saturday, fourth Saturday and Sunday of the month. As per the RBI rules, the second Saturday of April will be a bank holiday. Saturday, April 12 is the second Saturday of the month and all banks across the country will remain closed.

Weekly holiday in banks on April 13

Banks remain closed on Sunday of every month. April 13 is Sunday and is a weekly holiday for all banks. You can do bank related work on Monday but this time the bank is closed on Monday as well.

14. Actually, this day is Ambedkar Jayanti i.e. Bhim Jayanti. Dr. This is the birthday of Bhim Rao Ambedkar who is also known as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Equality Day and Knowledge Day are also celebrated on April 14.

Let us tell you that along with Ambedkar Jayanti, festivals like Vishu, Tamil New Year, Bohag Bihu, Maha Vishuv Sankranti, Cheraoba and Biju Mahotsav will be celebrated in various states on this day. RBI has declared it a bank holiday.

In which states/cities will banks remain closed?

Bank branches in many cities will remain closed on April 14 due to holidays in various states. These include Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram, Bhopal, Kohima, New Delhi, Raipur, Shillong and Shimla. These bank holidays fixed by RBI are only for public transactions. Internet banking, mobile banking and ATM services will function as usual on these days.
