Indian Railways ALP Recruitment 2025: A golden opportunity has come for the youth preparing for a job in Indian Railways. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification for recruitment to Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts.
Under this recruitment drive, a total of 9,970 posts will be filled in 21 zonal railway boards across the country. The online application process will start from 12 April 2025 and will run till 11 May 2025.
On which posts recruitment is to be done
According to the notification of Railway Recruitment Board, a total of 9,970 vacancies have been announced for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP). For which you can apply from 12th April to 11th May.
What is the educational qualification
Before applying for these posts, candidates must be 10th pass and must have ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute or the candidate must have an engineering diploma or degree from a recognized institute.
Age Limit
The candidate should be at least 18 years and maximum 30 years old as on 01/07/2024. However, OBC, SC/ST and other reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Application Fees
To apply for these posts, a fee of Rs 500 will be charged from general and OBC candidates. The fee for SC/ST/women/ex-servicemen/economically weaker sections is Rs 250.

Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of RRB. The link of the RRB website will be different according to the zone, so the candidate has to visit the RRB site of his zone.
Selection Process
For selection, candidates will have to go through 4 processes. This includes CBT-1 (Preliminary Computer Based Test), CBT-2 (Main Exam), CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test), Document Verification and Medical.
