There is a good news for the disabled that now the disabled will be able to make their own unique ID card sitting at home. Actually, earlier unique ID card was made manually. Earlier, the Divyangjans had to struggle a lot to get this made.

To make Divyang Unique ID Card, earlier Divyangjans had to submit Divyang Certificate made by CMO by filling the form and attaching necessary documents with it to the station superintendent or chief booking supervisor office of their nearest railway station.

After this, after verification of the disability certificate issued by the concerned hospitals by the commercial inspector, the unique ID card for the disabled was made from the DRM office only if it was found correct. But now the Railways has made the process of making Divyang Unique ID Card online.

Divyang will now be able to register his name, Aadhaar number, e-mail, mobile number and create his ID by clicking on the website sitting at home. After this, by logging in, following the instructions given in the User Manual available on this website, Divyang can apply for making Unique ID Card.

What document is necessary?

This process can also be completed with the help of cyber cafes. In this regard, Deepak Kumar, director of Buxar’s Galaxy Cyber ​​Cafe, told that the UID card of the disabled will be generated by logging on to the railway website https://divyangjanid.indianrail.gov.in. By clicking on this link, Divyang brothers can create their ID by registering their name, e-mail, Aadhaar number, mobile number.

He told that if the site runs properly then UID can be applied online in 1 to 2 minutes. After generation of UID card, whenever Divyang passengers apply for ticket, they will have to give photo copy of their UID card. Although he told that there are problems in making this site online right now, it may be that the Railways has started this service afresh. That’s why there are some glitches in the initial phase.

Expressing happiness over the online service, District President of Divyang Sangh Jitendra Kumar Thakur said that earlier Divyangjan had to travel from station to DRM office to get UID card made. Due to which many problems had to be faced. But, now with the making of UID card online from mobile sitting at home or at any cyber cafe, there will be great relief for Divyangjan to travel in rail.

Explain that the online application made for UID will first be received by the commercial department of the DRM office. According to the officials, during the verification of the disability certificate from the concerned hospital by the commercial inspector, if it is found correct, the unique ID card of the disabled will be generated. Which can be downloaded by logging on to the Divyang Jan Portal.
