If you have made Aadhar card 10 years ago then you need to be a little cautious. According to UIDAI, people whose Aadhar card is 10 years old should compulsorily update it. For this, UIDAI has fixed time till 14th December.

UIADI will update Aadhaar card for free till 14th December. If you update Aadhaar card after December 14, you will have to pay a charge for it. If you update your Aadhaar card after this limit, you may have to pay Rs 50. If you do not want to pay extra charges, then update your Aadhar card immediately.

Demographic data will have to be given in the update

You can update Aadhaar online by visiting the Aadhaar center or by yourself. To update Aadhaar card, customers will have to provide necessary information like their demographic data, address, date of birth, mobile number etc. Let us tell you that you can update many demographic data of Aadhaar online yourself, but there are many things for which you will have to go to the Aadhaar centre. Like updating Iris or biometric data.

Update Aadhaar in this way

  • Go to UIDAI website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in from mobile or laptop.
  • Now you have to click on the option of Update Aadhaar.
  • Now you have to fill your Aadhar number after which OT will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Now you have to click on the option of document update.
  • Now you have to upload the scanned copy of identity card, address proof etc.
  • After uploading all the proofs, now click on the submit button.
  • Now you will be given a request number through which you will be able to check the status of the update.
