Delhi Weather Alert! IMD issued alert regarding cloud-rain in these areas of Delhi from May 24 again for 4 days

Fire has started raining from the sky in the capital Delhi. Due to this the torture of temperature has increased further. The maximum temperature crossed 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of Delhi on Sunday.

Whereas, Najafgarh recorded the highest temperature of 46.3 degree Celsius. Para 41 was recorded in Ghaziabad, 43 degrees in Noida. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of light rain and cloudy weather for three to four days from May 24, due to which people can get some relief from the heat.

The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky and severe heatwave at isolated places on Monday. The department has also predicted strong surface winds with a speed of 25-35 kmph during the day.

Today the maximum and minimum temperature is likely to be 43 and 26 degree Celsius respectively. The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 40.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

Mercury crossed forty five in Najafgarh and Narela

According to the Meteorological Department, Najafgarh recorded 46.3 degrees Celsius, Narela and Pitampura observatories 45 degrees Celsius, Ayanagar and ‘Ridge’ areas 44 degrees Celsius and Palam 43.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 42.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.

Due to the scorching sun and rising temperature, there was little traffic on the roads on Sunday afternoon and there was an eerie silence even on the roads which usually witness heavy rush.

Varsha Pillai, a resident of Lajpat Nagar, said, “I had to go to the market, but the heat outside was unbearable, so I did not go. The temperature has increased so much that even the air conditioning is not providing relief.

Met officials said a fresh western disturbance could bring respite from the heat from May 24. Light rain and cloudy weather are expected for three to four days.

The Met department said the night temperature settled at 24 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal. The relative humidity level on Sunday ranged between 25 per cent and 74 per cent.
