Flight Service Closed: The crisis has deepened on all the services of the airline ‘Go Air’ moving from Ranchi. About six airlines have closed from here during the last 10 years. Go Air is the seventh such service whose flight has become uncertain. Booking of all its services from Ranchi is closed till May 15. Due to this, the problems of the passengers traveling by Go Air have increased further.

In particular, the reduction in air service has led to a three-fold increase in the direct flight fares for the Ranchi-Bengaluru and Ranchi-Mumbai sectors. Indigo and Air Asia are getting immediate benefits from the cancellation of four airlines simultaneously. These services have increased the fare of both the cities.

Go Air’s passengers from Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi are increasingly shifting to the service of these two airlines. The fare in the connecting services from Ranchi to Bangalore has reached close to 60 thousand.

According to airport officials, due to lack of aircraft engines and economic crisis, it may take time to recover. Even if Go Air flights start during this period, it will be limited to metros only. In such a situation, there may be a crisis on the flight of its Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai service from Ranchi. Due to the crisis on the service of Go Air, the development of Ranchi Airport can also be affected.

Before 2020, the daily movement of passengers from Ranchi airport had crossed the figure of 10,000. But after Corona, at present this number has reached close to nine thousand. On such an occasion, the closure of Go Air and increase in fare can adversely affect the movement of passengers.

Indigo and Air Asia have increased the fares of Mumbai and Bangalore service. The typical Ranchi-Bengaluru fare is around Rs 6,198 and the Ranchi to Mumbai fare is around Rs 5,499.

The crisis deepened on these four flights

Due to the disruption of Go Air services, the crisis has increased on 4 flights. 11:25 pm Bengaluru-Ranchi-Bengaluru day service, 2:55 pm Delhi-Ranchi-Delhi service, 4:50 pm Mumbai-Ranchi-Mumbai service and 7:25 night Delhi-Ranchi-Delhi service disrupted .

Ranchi Airport Director KL Aggarwal told that action is being taken against Go Air by the Central Government. The DGCA has also sought response from Go Air for canceling flights without notice. Be it financial crisis or lack of flights, he should have given notice before canceling the flights. There will be action.
