Delhi government has decided to increase the minimum wage of MCD employees. An official gave this information on Monday.

After this announcement, the monthly minimum wage for unskilled workers of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will increase from Rs 16,792 to Rs 17,234. Whereas the salary for semi-skilled workers will increase from Rs 18,499 to Rs 18,993, while the salary for skilled workers will increase from Rs 20,375 to Rs 20,903.

Officials said that from April 1, dearness allowance will be paid to all MCD employees. It is known that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had announced dearness allowance for all MCD employees from April 1. According to the report of news agency PTI, the proposal to increase the minimum salary of MCD employees will be placed for approval in the next meeting of the MCD House.

The MCD official said that dearness allowance for MCD employees will be released after getting approval from the House. According to the agenda of the MCD House meeting, the minimum wages for clerical and supervisory staff in all scheduled employment will also be increased.

According to the proposal, the minimum wage for non-matric pass employees will increase to Rs 18,993, for matriculate but not graduate employees it will increase to Rs 20,902 and for graduate and above employees, the minimum wage will increase to Rs 22,744. Not only this, dearness allowance for these employees will be Rs 494, Rs 546 and Rs 598 per month respectively.
